May times people assume that because they are not caught right away that somehow it will be forgotten. The exact beginnings of the Jewish religion are unknown, but the first known mention of Israel is an Egyptian inscription from the 13th century B. Now known as Paul, he became a zealous Christian missionary and extended Christianity outside Judaism, founding many Christian communities in the Gentile world. A prophet is one who speaks forth the message that God has revealed to him. Many of Paul's letters have become part of the New Testament. In a Latin translation of the Old and New Testaments was completed.

This version, known as the Vulgate, became the standard Bible of Christianity for many centuries. Jesus says that these scriptures taken collectively explain who He is and what He came to do. The Jewish Scripture had predicted the coming of a savior, the Messiah, and Jesus fulfilled that role. In and amongst the stories of Israel and Judah are two short stories about women who were faithful to God. Many of Paul's letters have become part of the New Testament.
